Farm-based life coaching

At Yellow Bird Therapy Farm, we offer farm-based life coaching for children and teens ages 5–18 in a calm and supportive outdoor setting. Through guided time with animals and nature, children build confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills. Each session is designed to help them feel safe, seen, and understood. Life coaching supports present challenges and personal growth, helping children navigate stress, anxiety, and behavioral concerns. Services are not a substitute for licensed mental health counseling.

MEET THE HEARTS BEHIND YELLOW BIRD FARM

Behind Yellow Bird Therapy Farm are two hearts with a shared purpose and a deep belief in healing.

John Slaugh grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania, where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for the land. After serving in the Army, he built a successful career in construction and now works as a superintendent—bringing leadership, resilience, and hands-on skill to everything he does. At the farm, John is the primary caretaker of the land and animals, ensuring a safe, steady, and well-loved environment for every child and creature who visits.

Casey Turano grew up in Rhode Island before making her home in Florida, where she started a family and dedicated her life to education. From classroom teacher to school counselor, Casey has always been passionate about supporting children. She is now continuing her journey by pursuing her mental health license to further serve those in need. At Yellow Bird Therapy Farm, Casey serves as the life coach and director, working directly with children and families while guiding the vision and heart behind the farm.

Together, John and Casey have blended their life experiences, their love for animals, and their passion for helping others to create something truly special. Yellow Bird Therapy Farm is more than a dream—it’s a calling. A place where children can feel safe, seen, and supported as they grow and heal.

And of course, Marbles the Highland calf brings endless joy.

“Yellow Bird Therapy Farm is more than a dream—it’s a calling. A place where children can feel safe, seen, and supported as they grow and heal. This is just the beginning.”
